Two men arrested in connection with Norwich Road, Ipswich, newborn baby death rebailed again




Two men arrested in connection with the death of a newborn baby in Ipswich have been rebailed for a second time.

Officers were called at just after 12.35pm on December 9 to a property in Norwich Road, where the body of a newborn baby had been discovered outside the premises.

Paramedics also attended, but the baby was declared dead a short time later.

Following initial police inquiries that afternoon, officers arrested two men in their 30s and a teenage female, all on suspicion of murder.

On December 11, the two men were released under investigation and were bailed until February 6, and then rebailed until March 6.

A spokesperson for Suffolk Police confirmed today the individuals have been rebailed again until May 17.

The teenager arrested was released under investigation on December 12.

That same day, a Home Office post-mortem examination took place and was inconclusive, with further tests required.
