Two men arrested on suspicion of GBH after Cambridge Drive, Ipswich, hit-and-run incident
Two men have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm after a hit-and-run incident in a town.
Police received reports from a member of the public a pedestrian was hit by a black car by the One Stop in Cambridge Drive, Ipswich, at about 8pm on Saturday.
The car then drove off.
It is believed two males were in the car at the time.
The victim suffered serious injuries which required medical treatment.
Two men have now been arrested on suspicion of causing GBH in connection with the incident.
Just before midday today, a 22-year-old man from Ipswich was arrested in the Chantry area, while a 28-year-old from the Ipswich area was apprehended just before 3pm.
Both have been taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning as detectives look into the full circumstances.
Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has home doorbell footage from the time, or from any drivers who may have relevant dash-cam footage.
