Suffolk police dog Thor helps Ipswich Police and Norfolk and Suffolk Roads and Armed Policing Team apprehend wanted man after alleged assault

A police dog helped find a wanted man who fled the scene of a crime.

Norfolk and Suffolk Police dog Thor assisted Ipswich Police and Norfolk and Suffolk Roads and Armed Policing Team to apprehend the man, who fled after an alleged assault, on Thursday night.

A Norfolk and Suffolk Police Dogs spokesperson said yesterday: “Great teamwork between Norfolk and Suffolk Police Dogs, Ipswich Police and Norfolk and Suffolk Roads and Armed Policing Team last night.

“PD Thor helped officers locate a wanted man, who fled the scene of an assault and attempted to hide from Thor… big mistake,” they added.

They said the man was detained by police after he had been caught.
