Woman arrested after alleged assault in Ipswich which left another woman with suspected broken nose




A woman has been arrested following an alleged assault in Suffolk in which another woman was punched and kicked, leaving her with bruises and a suspected broken nose.

Police are appealing for witnesses following the incident in Gorse Road in Ipswich, which happened at about 6pm on Monday.

It is alleged that, during the incident, a woman in her 20s was pulled to the ground by another woman who then assaulted her.

Officers have said the victim and the suspect are known to each other.

A 29-year-old woman from Ipswich was arrested later that evening on suspicion of assault in connection with this incident.

She was taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning and was subsequently released under investigation, pending further enquiries.
