LEARN MOREA pensioner has suffered serious injuries after she was hit by a car in a supermarket car park.
The woman, who is in her 80s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries, after she was hit by a car at Sainsbury's in Ipswich's Felixstowe Road at about 10.20am yesterday.
She remains at Ipswich Hospital, where she is receiving treatment for her injuries.
Police have today launched an investigation into the incident, and have urged anyone who saw the black Vovlo XC90 hit the woman, or the manner of its driving, to contact officers.
A Suffolk Police spokesman: "Any witnesses, or anyone driving within the car park immediately prior to the collision with a dashcam, should contact the Roads and Armed Policing Team, quoting reference CAD 106 or July 26."
