Woman suffers serious injuries after collision in Duke Street, Ipswich, between moped and car

A woman suffered serious injuries after a two-vehicle collision in a Suffolk town.

Police were called by the ambulance service at 5.10pm yesterday to reports of a crash between a moped and a car in Duke Street, Ipswich.

The road was blocked at the roundabout by Holywells Road.

Police, ambulance and air ambulance were all at the scene.

The rider of the moped – a woman in her 50s – suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital.

The road was clear by 8.10pm
