Ipswich Town star Wes Burns receives international call-up for Wales
Wes Burns has received a late call-up to the Wales squad after his outstanding form for Ipswich Town last season.
The 27-year-old was not named in Rob Page's 28-man squad last week, but will join up with the squad ahead of the first game of their schedule Poland on June 1.
It caps off for what continues to be a sensational 12 months for Burns, having joined the Blues last summer.
The Welshman finished the season as Town's top scorer, with 13 goals in all competitions. He also scooped a clean sweep at the club's end of season awards.
The 27-year-old will meet his teammates for a training camp in Portugal, before they begin their five-game summer schedule.
Wales will face Poland in the Nations League on June 1, before a pivotal World Cup play-off against either Scotland or Ukraine.
Rob Page's men then face two homes games against Holland and Belgium, before finishing with a return trip to Holland on June 14.
It is Burns' third call-up to the senior Wales side, although the last of those did come in 2016.
