Ipswich Town captain Luke Chambers calls for quick start to Rochdale clash

Captain Luke Chambers has called on his Ipswich Town team-mates to make another fast start when they travel to Rochdale this afternoon (3pm).

The Tractor Boys go into the clash against their bottom-of-the-table hosts having defeated Bristol Rovers 2-1 on Friday, with both Town goals coming inside the opening 11 minutes.

And Chambers believes being quick out of the blocks could be key to racking up another three points in the race for League One play-offs.

"We're up against another team fighting for their lives and they're not going to lie down for anyone," the skipper told the club's website.

"It's important that we try to start the game with the same intensity that we did against Bristol Rovers. We haven't started away games well recently but we can go into this one with confidence and looking to improve on Friday's win.

"The gaffer has made it clear that whatever it takes to try and get results from now until the end of the season, that's what we'll be trying to do.

"There are games that we can definitely win and we will stay positive."
