Ipswich Town's former player Darren Ambrose looking forward to 'bright future' after takeover

Former Ipswich Town midfielder Darren Ambrose has welcomed the news that the club has been taken over.

After a large amount of speculation in recent weeks, businessman Marcus Evans confirmed yesterday that he had agreed to sell to an American consortium after 13 years at the Portman Road.

It was a largely uninspiring tenure, one in which the Tractor Boys have dropped down to their lowest level in a number of decades.

However, former England Under-21 international Ambrose, who started his career with Ipswich, is hoping better days now lie ahead.
