Ipswich Town or Oldham to host Barrow in FA Cup second round

Paul Cook's Ipswich Town side would be back at Portman Road against lower-league opposition in the Emirates FA Cup second round, should they win their replay at Oldham Athletic.

Tonight's draw saw the Blues or the Latics drawn at home to Sky Bet League Two side Barrow on a date across December 3-6.

The Cumbrian side, currently 15th in the table, progressed with a 4-0 victory at non-league Banbury on Saturday.

A 1-1 draw at Portman Road on the same day means Ipswich would first have to win through at Boundary Park on a date yet to be confirmed.

It stretched Town fans' wait to witness a home FA Cup victory to eight matches on a barren run going back as far as January 2009 when the Blues beat Chesterfield 3-0.

Potential opponents Barrow are managed by Mark Cooper and returned to the Football League for the first time since 1972 ahead of last season, finishing 21st.
