Ipswich Town's Under-18s given date for FA Youth Cup clash at Middlesbrough

A date has been confirmed for Ipswich Town Under-18s' trip to Middlesbrough in the FA Youth Cup.

The young Tractor Boys will head to Teeside on Saturday, with the match due to get under way behind closed doors at midday.

As a result, this coming weekend's scheduled league clash against Sheffield United has been postponed, with a new date for the fixture set to be announced in due course.

By chance, Ipswich will meet the Blades at home in the quarter-finals if they are successful in overcoming Middlesbrough, while United will have to negotiate their way beyond Bristol City.

Ipswich are three-time winners of the tournament – only four clubs (Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea) have won it more occasions.

The Suffolk side's most recent success came back in 2005.
