Ipswich Town attacker Conor Chaplin wins Player of the Month award for April
Conor Chaplin has been named Ipswich Town's Greene King Player of the Month for April.
The attacker, who joined the Tractor Boys from Barnsley last summer, earned almost 42 per cent of the supporters' vote.
In what was a productive month for the 25-year-old, he scored in back-to-back encounters against Wigan Athletic and Crewe Alexandra.
And he also showed his creative side by laying on a goal on the final day of the season for leading scorer Wes Burns, who finished second with 26.79 per cent.
The departing James Norwood completed the top three while captain Sam Morsy ended up in fourth.
Meanwhile, yesterday the club confirmed that Tyreeq Bakinson had won April's Three Eggs Goal of the Month award.
The on-loan midfielder earned the accolade courtesy of his long-range strike on the last day of the campaign against Charlton Athletic.
The goal collected 81.5 per cent of the supporters' vote, followed by Wes Burns' outside-of-the-foot effort in the same game and Norwood's header during the trip to Shrewsbury Town.
