Ipswich Town have agreed a deal to sponsor professional boxer Fabio Wardley.

The 27-year-old, who is from Ipswich and a supporter of the club, will wear the Town crest on his shorts and ring walk t-shirt at his next fight, which is taking place at the O2 Arena in London on Saturday night.

Wardley, who remains undefeated with a record of 13-0 (12 KO), is scheduled for the undercard of Derek Chisora vs Kubrat Pulev, live on DAZN.

He told the club website: “I’m delighted to work in partnership with my local club.

“Playing a big part in the Umbro kit launch videos made me realise how much I want to work closely with the club and really see where we can take this relationship.

“I see this year as a big year for me and Town, so why not go on the journey together.”

The club have worked closely with Wardley in recent years, most recently on the new Umbro kit launch ahead of the 2022/23 season.
