Ipswich Town will be looking to finish the season on a high, in what is being a treated as a one-off game by manager Kieran McKenna.

The Blues take on Charlton Athletic at Portman Road on Saturday (kick-off 12.30pm) with both sides having nothing to play for.

Town can only finish as high as 10th in League One, with three points separating them and Bolton, who host Fleetwood Town on the final day.

With the chance to honour the fans at the final home, the boss is looking to give fans something to cheer about despite having little to play for.

"I think we all want to give the fans a positive feeling to go away with," he said.

"I think it is a one-off game to a certain extent - I don't really buy into that this game will have a big emphasis on how we start next season or how next season goes.

"Charlton will have a different team on the first day of the season, we will have a different team on the first day of the season. I think it is a one-off game to look at it in terms of it's a home game, against a good team in pretty good form and we want to go out with a high in terms of performance and result."
