Ipswich Town: Summer signings need to produce big performance for ‘huge’ Leicester match
You spend 22 years waiting to be somewhere and once arrived, feel somewhat disappointed with what it's hyped up to be.
I feel like that with the Premier League. Questionable VAR decisions, referees seemingly looking after the big boys and to be honest, an unwelcoming feel to any newbies trying to make their own claim to stay here. Sigh.
I can't defend our inability not to win a game we were 2-0 up in, but I do feel Town were harshly done by in the 4-3 defeat at Brentford.
We should have got something on Saturday. We deserved it and had Sammie Szmodics buried that chance to put us 3-0 up, I think we would have.
Sadly he didn't and we're left ruing missed chances and really poor defending once more, with the latter being my biggest concern.
We all know this Ipswich team focus more on scoring goals than defending them, with that the sole reason we find ourselves here in the first place.
Whilst I love the way we play, I don't like how we're executing it at the moment.
I've not been particularly impressed with any of the defensive reinforcements brought into the club, barring Jacob Greaves, maybe.
We really need to see performances improve, especially from the likes of Dara O'Shea and Aro Muric, who I don't want to single out, but for the money that's been spent on them they have to be doing better. -Aro particularly.
I don't think he was that bad on Saturday, but ultimately he is the main reason why we left pointless.
Stick with him or drop him? I'm edging ever closer to the latter. You just can't make mistakes like that in this division.
I wouldn't be sad to see Christian Walton in goal on Saturday, nor would I if Aro was given another chance. That's where I'm at with it.
Once again Saturday is huge. We all thought Everton was the game. Well, Leicester simply has to be. No excuses. We have to win and you know what, I think we will. COYB.
