Ipswich Town's FA Cup First Round Proper tie with Portsmouth to be shown live by BBC and BT
Ipswich Town supporters will be able to watch their side's Emirates FA Cup home tie with Portsmouth on free-to-air television on Saturday, November 7 (3pm).
The first round proper tie between the two Sky Bet League One promotion hopefuls will be one of three ties shown on BBC television that day, sandwhiched between Tonbridge Angels versus Bradford City (12.30pm) and FC United of Manchester versus Doncaster Rovers (5.30pm).
The match at Portman Road will also be available on BT digital platforms.
With the FA announcing all first round proper ties are to be played behind closed doors (with ties at Steps 3-6 non-league clubs having previously been allowed limited capacity crowds) a bumper eight matches will be broadcast with live multi-camera coverage by the BBC and BT Sport.
Ipswich Town will receive £32,500 for the live broadcast fee.
Winning clubs in the Emirates FA Cup First Round Proper will receive £16,972 from The FA prize fund, with losing clubs receiving £5,657.
Young Blues host Shrimpers next Tuesday
Meanwhile, Town will take on Southend United in the first round of the FA Youth Cup at Portman Road on Tuesday (2pm).
The match will take place behind closed doors, but the club has said it is exploring streaming possibilities.
Adem Atey's side defeated Kings Lynn Town and Exeter City in last year's competition, before losing out to Cardiff City in round three.
