Ipswich Town loanee Luke Thomas ends spell with the club to focus on 'mental and physical health'

Luke Thomas' loan spell at Ipswich Town has been cut short for personal reasons.

The winger joined the Tractors Boys on loan until the end of the season from Barnsley during the winter transfer window, but he has not featured for the club since the 0-0 draw with Northampton Town in mid-February.

And the 22-year-old has now addressed his lack of match action in recent weeks, saying that he needed to take some time away from the game to focus on his 'mental and physical health'.

On their website, Ipswich wrote: "Ipswich Town fully supports Luke with his decision, and will continue to support him moving forward."
