Ipswich Town left-back Matt Penney encourages fans to 'stick with us'

Matt Penney has urged the Ipswich Town supporters to stick by the team.

The former Sheffield Wednesday player opened the scoring at Cheltenham Town last night with his first goal in English football, but the newly-promoted hosts hit back twice to win the League One encounter.

It extended new-look Ipswich's winless start to the 2021/22 campaign to four matches in all competitions, while manager Paul Cook has overseen just a quartet of victories from his 21 matches at the helm.

However, Penney – one of 16 signings through the door at Portman Road this summer – has insisted things will come good.

Ipswich's quest for a first win of the season will continue on Saturday at home against MK Dons (3pm).
