Ipswich Town could have Dominic Ball and Wes Burns available for Barnsley clash
Summer signing Dominic Ball could make his Ipswich Town debut at home against Barnsley tomorrow (3pm).
The midfielder joined the Tractor Boys in early June but an ankle injury picked up in pre-season has so far prevented him from making a competitive performance.
However, Ball has taken a full part in training this week and is set to be in the squad that welcomes the Tykes to Portman Road.
Boss Kieran McKenna told reporters: “Dominic has trained all week with the group, so he’s in a really good place and is ready for selection."
And in a further boost, McKenna has hinted that last season's star player Wes Burns could be in contention to feature after missing the last couple of weeks with a groin strain.
McKenna added: “Wes has just joined in today for the first time, so we have to make a judgement call on whether he’ll be involved and capable of any minutes tomorrow.”
