Ipswich Town full-back Myles Kenlock makes loan switch to Colchester United
Out-of-favour Ipswich Town left-back Myles Kenlock has completed a loan move to Colchester United for the remainder of the season.
The 25-year-old homegrown player has been restricted to just playing in cup competitions for the Suffolk side this term, having been left out of the Blues' 22-man Sky Bet League One squad.
Kenlock has made just two appearances for Town in 2021/22, both starts in the Papa John's (EFL) Trophy. One of those was against League Two Colchester at Portman Road in November's 0-0 draw, the hosts winning the penalty shootout point.
In total he has made 103 senior appearances for Ipswich, 94 of which were starts.
Kenlock, who joins up with a large contingent of former Town players at Colchester - including fellow Blues loanee Armando Dobra - is out of contract in the summer and looks likely to leave.
The Essex club announced last night they had sacked manager Hayden Mullins and have put former Ipswich defender Wayne Brown in temporary charge.
