Ipswich Town: Wes Burns and Nathan Broadhead receive international call-ups by Wales but Burns misses out through injury

Ipswich Town’s Nathan Broadhead has been called up to the Wales squad for EURO 2024 qualifiers against Armenia and Turkey next month, but Wes Burns misses out due to injury.

The attacking duo were meant to meet up with their international teammates in Portugal on Thursday, June 8 for a training camp ahead of their two games.

The club have revealed on Twitter that Burns will miss out because of an ‘ongoing groin injury’ that means he won’t be joining up with the squad.

Broadhead has two senior caps for Wales and scored on his international debut when he dispatched a 93rd minute equaliser to earn a point against Croatia in Wales' opening qualifier back in March.

Rob Page’s men take on Armenia in Group D of qualifying on Friday, June 16 at Cardiff City Stadium, before a fixture against Turkey at the Samsun Stadium in Tekkeköy, on Monday, June 19.
