Ipswich Town to travel to Colchester United and host Millwall as part of pre-season fixtures

An early reunion with Cole Skuse and a belated one with goalkeeper Bartosz Bialkowski is on the cards after Ipswich Town confirmed they will play Colchester United and Millwall in pre-season.

Paul Cook's squad will travel to Colchester's JobServe Community Stadium on Tuesday, July 27 to take part in two 75-minute matches – like last season – with the first kicking off at 5.30pm and then second at 7.45pm.

It is set to see them go up against recently departed long-serving midfielder Skuse, who joined the League Two U's last month.

Four days later Town will play host to Championship side Millwall at Portman Road on Saturday, July 31 (3pm).

Gary Rowett's side are set to feature former multiple Ipswich Town Supporters' Club Play of the Season Bialkowski who would be lining up against his former employers for the first time since departing in July 2019.

As part of the build-up to the new season, the Blues are also travelling to Dartford FC on Saturday, July 10 and at League Two Stevenage on Tuesday, July 20.

Ticketing details for supporters to attend the Colchester and Millwall matches are subject to latest Covid-19 guidance and will be announced by the home clubs in due course.
