Ipswich Town reportedly make Sunderland striker Will Grigg a summer transfer target

Sunderland forward Will Grigg is reportedly one of Ipswich Town manager Paul Cook's summer transfer targets.

The Northern Ireland striker joined the Black Cats from Wigan Athletic in the winter of 2019 but has struggled for form since arriving on Wearside.

Things have picked up since a loan switch to MK Dons in January and Cook knows the player well from their time together at Wigan.

During the 2017/18 League One promotion-winning campaign, Grigg fired in 19 goals for Cook's Wigan side.

And according to Football Insider, Cook is keen to seal a reunion ahead of the 2021/22 campaign getting under way.

The 29-year-old still has 12 months remaining on his deal at the Stadium of Light.
