Toto Nsiala is reportedly on the verge of sealing a permanent move away from Ipswich Town.

Speculation emerged yesterday that Fleetwood Town had entered into discussions with the Tractor Boys regarding a potential loan switch for the defender.

However, TWTD has since reported that the clubs are locked in talks regarding a transfer fee, with everything set to be potentially concluded by the weekend.

The 29-year-old, who joined Town from Shrewsbury Town in 2018, is due to be out of contract at Portman Road at the end of the campaign.

Meanwhile, the publication adds that Nsiala's exit would aid Ipswich in their bid to sign both Christian Walton and Macauley Bonne on a permanent basis.

The duo have impressed during their loan stints in Suffolk, but with Ipswich said to be close to the Financial Fair Play limit, they would need to lose a player or two from the senior squad to help push those deals through.

It is believed Walton is set to return his parent club Brighton & Hove Albion following the conclusion of Saturday's game at Bolton Wanderers.
