Ipswich Town midfielder Gwion Edwards reportedly a transfer target of Sunderland and Preston North End

Ipswich Town midfielder Gwion Edwards is reportedly wanted by Sunderland and Preston North End.

The 28-year-old, who joined the Tractor Boys in 2018 from Peterborough United, has featured regularly since Paul Cook took charge as manager early last month.

However, with his contract due to expire at the end of the season, there have been suggestions that he could be allowed to leave Portman Road on a free transfer.

Edwards is one of 13 players in Cook's squad that is due to be out of contract in the summer.
