Ipswich Town and Portsmouth both reportedly interested in Feyenoord's former Liverpool defender George Johnston

Ipswich Town are reportedly ready to battle Portsmouth for the signature of Feyenoord defender George Johnston in the summer.

The 22-year-old, who came through the academy at Premier League giants Liverpool, joined his Dutch employers in the summer of 2019.

However, in January he linked up with League One outfit Wigan Athletic on loan, and since then has captured the attention of both Ipswich and Pompey – according to Football Insider.
