Ipswich Town reportedly close to signing former Queens Park Rangers midfielder Dominic Ball
Ipswich Town are reportedly close to making their second addition of the summer.
Earlier this week the Tractor Boys confirmed the arrival striker Freddie Ladapo, who signed a three-year deal following a spell with Rotherham United.
And according to TWTD, Dominic Ball is on the verge of joining Ladapo in sealing a move to Portman Road.
Like Ladapo, 26-year-old Ball will arrive in Suffolk on a free transfer following his recent release from Championship outfit Queens Park Rangers.
The defensive-minded midfielder started his career with Tottenham Hotspur, though he never made a senior appearance for the Premier League club.
However, that is likely to be where he first came to the attention of Ipswich manager Kieran McKenna, who was a coach at Spurs during that time.
Ball joined Rotherham in 2016 before switching to QPR three years later – and since then he has made 89 appearances, which have yielded a return of three goals.
As well as having loan spells with Cambridge United, Peterborough United, Aberdeen and Rangers during his career, Ball has also been capped by both England and Northern Ireland at youth level.
