Gillingham defender Jack Tucker is a target for Ipswich Town, according to reports.

The centre-back is likely to leave the Gills this summer. Despite being offered a new contract to stay at Priestfield, manager Neil Harris is expecting the 22-year-old to be plying his trade elsewhere.

“It is very unlikely Jack will be at the club next year and we are all fully aware of that. Jack’s agent at the moment will be looking at suitors," he told Kent Online.

And it is Kent Online who state Tucker is a target for Town.

Ipswich are one of several sides eyeing a potential move for the 22-year-old - who started his career in Kent - with Sheffield Wednesday, Portsmouth, Hull City and Hibernian also linked.

Portsmouth outlet The News are reporting that Tucker would demand a fee in the region of £300,000, which may deter Town from making a move.
