Ipswich Town reportedly plotting moves for three Sunderland players
Ipswich Town are reportedly exploring the possibility of bringing in three players from fellow EFL League One outfit Sunderland.
Among the trio is striker Charlie Wyke, who netted 26 goals for the Black Cats prior to them being knocked out of the play-offs at the semi-final stage by Lincoln City.
The 28-year-old is out of contract at the Stadium of Light this summer, but according to both the East Anglian Daily Times and Football Insider, talks are ongoing regarding an extension to those terms.
However, both publications add that Ipswich are monitoring the situation closely and are keen to bring the former Carlisle United and Bradford City frontman to Portman Road.
The East Anglian Daily Times has also credited Ipswich with having an interest in Max Power, who has been released by Sunderland.
The midfielder is well known to Town boss Paul Cook, with the pair having previously worked together at Wigan Athletic.
Sunderland's young attacker midfielder Josh Hawkes – leading goalscorer in Premier League 2 Division 2 for the under-23s this term – is another player said to be on Cook's radar.
