Ipswich Town agree deal with Manchester City to sign Liam Delap

Ipswich Town have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Liam Delap from Manchester City.

The 21-year-old striker spent last season on loan at Sky Bet Championship side Hull City and scored eight goals in 32 appearances, as the Tigers finished three points outside the play-off places.

Today, The Athletic have reported that Town have agreed a deal with the reigning Premier league champions to sign Delap for £15m with an extra £5m in potential add-ons.

The Manchester City academy graduate, who is an England Under-21 international, has made six first-team appearances for the Citizens, scoring once.

Delap has also spent time on loan at Championship sides Stoke City and Preston North End.

It was reported yesterday that Hull centre-back Jacob Greaves is set to complete a medical at the Blues, while Town continue to push to sign Tigers winger Jaden Philogene.
