Ipswich Town linked with AC Milan winger Alexis Saelemaekers with Leicester City and Nottingham Forest also interested in Belgium international
Ipswich Town have reportedly shown interest in signing AC Milan winger Alexis Saelemaekers.
Journalist for Calciomercato.com, Daniele Longo, has revealed that the Blues have made an inquiry for the 25-year-old.
But Town are believed not to be the only Premier League side interested in Saelemaekers, who scored four goals in 32 appearances on loan at Bologna last term, as Longo has reported that Leicester City and Nottingham Forest have contacted Milan about signing the winger.
Saelemaekers, who has made 12 appearances for Belgium, began his career at Anderlecht before joining the Rossoneri on loan in January 2020, ahead of a permanent move eight months later.
His contract at Milan, whom he has played 140 times for, scoring 10 goals, expires in June 2026.
Town are set to miss out on signing Hull City winger Jaden Philogene as he draws closer to a return to Aston Villa.
Meanwhile, Blues target Flynn Downes has opted to re-join Southampton on a permanent deal from West Ham United on a contract until 2028.
The midfielder, who made 37 appearances during the Saints’ promotion-winning campaign last term, was on Town’s books from May 2017 to August 2021.
