Ipswich Town midfielder Idris El Mizouni rejoins Cambridge United on loan

Ipswich Town's Idris El Mizouni has joined Cambridge United on a season-long loan, writes Mikey Hale.

The midfielder had moved on loan to the U's in January but sustained medial ligament damage as his time at the Abbey Stadium was cut short.

Before that injury, El Mizouni had impressed in his seven appearances for the League Two side including scoring a free kick in a win at Scunthorpe in February.

El Mizouni also netted his first goal for Blues last term in the 1-1 EFL Trophy draw at Peterborough, Town eventually progressing on penalties from the tie.

He could mark his 20th birthday on Saturday by making his second Cambridge debut when the U's host Tranmere Rovers.
