Ipswich Town looking to bring in Preston North End defender Jordan Storey on loan

After losing Toto Nsiala last week, Ipswich Town are reportedly interested in bringing a Championship defender to Portman Road.

The Blues are among a host of clubs eyeing a move for Preston North End centre-back Jordan Storey, according to the Lancashire Post.

Storey, 24, has made 20 appearances for North End so far this season, but has not featured for the club since a 1-0 defeat to Blackburn Rovers at the beginning of December.

Town have reportedly enquired to take the defender on loan for the rest of the season.

However, the Lancashire Post are reporting Sunderland and Sheffield Wednesday - two of Ipswich's League One rivals - are also interested in taking Storey on loan.

If Town wish to bring the 24-year-old to Suffolk, they will have to make an offer 'which covers a suitable portion of Storey's wages'.
