Ipswich Town turn their attention to Bristol City midfielder Tyreeq Bakinson after Christian Walton's permanent arrival
Ipswich Town are nearing their second signing of the window, with a deal for Bristol City midfielder Tyreeq Bakinson close to being agreed.
After turning Christian Walton's loan into a permanent two-and-a-half-year deal, Town have a free loan spot in their squad.
And according to Football Insider, Bakinson is set to make the move to Portman Road on loan.
The 23-year-old central midfielder has made 14 appearances for the Robins in all competitions so far this season, scoring just the once.
Bakinson, who began his career with Luton Town before making the switch to Ashton Gate, has fallen out of favour slightly this season after making 34 appearances during the 2020/21 campaign.
He is a player who will be familiar to Mark Ashton, as the Ipswich chief executive signed him in his previous role at Bristol City in 2017.
