Ipswich Town reportedly close to signing Manchester United full-back Brandon Williams
Ipswich Town are reportedly closing in on the signing of Brandon Williams.
According to Football Insider, the 22-year-old Manchester United full-back will soon be announced as the Tractor Boys’ latest summer signing.
Williams will be well known to Ipswich boss Kieran McKenna after he broke into the United first team under previous boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, for whom McKenna served as a first-team coach.
Williams, who can play as either a right-back or left-back, went away with the Red Devils on their pre-season tour of America earlier this summer but it is understood that he does not have a long-term future at Old Trafford.
It is not currently known if the former Norwich City loanee will arrive at Portman Road on a temporary or permanent basis.
His contract at United is due to expire next summer.
