Ipswich Town will field strongest side available for Carabao Cup encounter

Paul Lambert says he’ll pick the strongest team available for Ipswich Town’s Carabao Cup tie with Bristol Rovers at Portman Road tomorrow, writes Dan Palfrey.

The Blues have one or two injury niggles going into tomorrow’s game and the Town boss admitted he will not be taking any risks with them.

“We’ll pick the strongest team we have available tomorrow,” the Scot told iFollow Ipswich.

“Flynn won’t be playing and we’ve also got one or two lads that won’t be available tomorrow.

“They're not major injuries but we can’t take the risk with them. Kane [Vincent-Young] and Kayden [Jackson] aren’t fit and tomorrow might be too soon for James Norwood.

“It’ll be a tough game tomorrow. We’re at home, albeit without fans but if we play the way I know we can then hopefully we’ll go through to the next round.”
