Plans for eight EV charging points at Beardmore Park, in Anson Road, Martlesham Heath, withdrawn after two years
Plans for eight new electric vehicle (EV) charging bays at a village retail park have been withdrawn after two years.
The proposals, at Beardmore Park, in Anson Road, Martlesham Heath, would have seen the new bays installed near the Costa Coffee drive-thru site.
Notice was given that the application, by Motor Fuel Group Ltd, was withdrawn on Monday.
Martlesham Parish Council objected to the plans in March 2022 on the basis of there not being enough ‘detailed information’ provided.
It said: “More information is needed on operating hours, the requirement for fencing, advertising and signage, noise and disturbance mitigation, site safety and security, and how the proposed lighting compares with recommended illumination levels and direction of lighting.”
