In today's podcast, we have the story of a man who was arrested after an armed robbery in Mildenhall.

Officers are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened at the McColl's store in St John's Close at about 7.35pm on Saturday.

Suffolk Police said a man entered the store and approached the counter to pay for an item.

When the till was opened to take the payment, he leaned across the counter and stole money from the drawer while pointing a taser at a member of staff. He then walked out of the store with the cash.

Police have confirmed that they arrested a 22-year-old man from Mildenhall yesterday morning in connection with the incident.

He was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning, before being released on bail until Monday, February 7, pending further enquiries.

Meanwhile, motorists were faced with delays on the A14 after a three-vehicle crash.

There were delays for almost six hours after a lorry crashed into trees between junction 35 and junction 36 near Newmarket.

Two people involved sustained minor injuries.

A spokesperson for National Highways East said that traffic was released shortly after 4pm.
