Suffolk Police issue appeal after Kesgrave man in 80s is victim of cold caller fraud
A man in his 80s has reportedly been targeted by a cold caller who drove him to a cashpoint and took his money.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident in Bell Lane, Kesgrave, at about 12 noon on Thursday, May 4, and are also urging the public to be vigilant.
The victim was on his drive when he was approached by a man who offered to carry out some work on his car.
The suspect then drove him to a cashpoint to withdraw a sum of money in advance of the work taking place. The offender took the money but did not return.
The suspect is described as a white man in his 40s, overweight with fair/grey balding hair and was wearing a black tracksuit.
