Subway recruiting roles for new chain in Martlesham Heath, near Ipswich, as new plans lodged

Plans for a new fast food joint near Kesgrave have taken a step forward – as job adverts for the new eatery have been listed ahead of its opening.

Daljo Group, an operator for Subway, is looking to recruit both a supervisor and ‘sandwich artists’ for its new store, planned to open Martlesham Heath.

The American giant was given approval in June last year to convert 3 Hawker Drive, which most recently housed Ling’s Garden Store, into a new eatery.

Proposals for illuminated signs were submitted to East Suffolk Council last Friday, which would display the company’s logo.

Martlesham Parish Council and Suffolk County Council offered no objections to the plans.

It would be open Monday to Friday.

A spokesperson for Subway said the firm hoped to open two more outlets in the East of England next year.
