Firefighters from Brandon remove tree from roof of home in Lakenheath




A tree fell onto the roof of a house in a Suffolk village during Storm Bert.

Firefighters from Brandon Fire Station were called to the incident in Lakenheath on Sunday afternoon.

A spokesperson for the station said crews worked to remove the tree using a triple extension ladder, roof ladder and a cutting saw.

It comes after a yellow weather warning was issued for Suffolk yesterday.

Storm Bert caused disruption across the region over the weekend and led to a number of events being cancelled including Stowmarket Christmas Fayre which was called off over safety concerns.
