Italian restaurant Il Salvatore reveals opening date for new eatery at The Plough pub in Lakenheath
An Italian restaurant has revealed its opening date for its new eatery at a former pub in a Suffolk village.
Il Salvatore announced in August it would be taking over The Plough in Lakenheath and that a renovation was under way at the flint faced 19th century pub in Mill Road.
The business has announced that the new restaurant in the village will be welcoming customers from midday on Friday, October 25.
In a post on social media, a spokesperson said: "We are so excited” and also advised customers to book opening day tables in advance.
The opening of the eatery comes after the closure of Il Salvatore in Brandon last year.
A spokesperson for the restaurant previously said on social media: “There were many factors which made us leave (Brandon), but after nearly two years of searching we found what seems to be the perfect location to reopen the lovely Il Salvatore.”
