Woman taken to hospital after multi-vehicle crash on A1065 at Eriswell near Mildenhall and Lakenheath

A woman has been taken to hospital following a multi-vehicle crash on a key route.

Fire crews were called at about 6pm yesterday to reports of the collision on the A1065 at Eriswell, near Mildenhall and Lakenheath.

A Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said a woman in one of the vehicles was initially trapped but was able to get out with the help of firefighters.

Engines from Mildenhall and Brandon attended the incident.

A Suffolk Police spokesperson said the woman was seriously injured and taken to West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds.

Recovery was needed for two vehicles.
