Dog walk in 1995 to raise money for an abandonned dog

In October, 1995, Bury Free Press readers took an abandoned German shepherd dog to their hearts after he was found at the roadside in Lawshall in terrible condition, with three-inch long claws, pressure sores and other problems.

He was named Prince by Gold Star Kennel in Lawshall, who were caring for him. By the time this picture was taken, readers had donated £1,200 to the Bury St Edmunds RSPCA branch to pay for his care. This picture shows BFP staff, their families, Miss Bury Free Press Rebecca Gregson and their dogs doing a fund-raising walk in Nowton Park, which added £750 to the total. Does anyone know what happened to Prince?
