NOSTALGIA: School makes the news
This week’s photograph was taken at the Bury Free Press office in November 1994.
It shows a group of pupils from the Priory School, in Bury St Edmunds, who visited our office in King’s Road to learn how a newspaper was produced as part of lessons on communications.
They were accompanied by their teachers Roger Mackenzie and Wendy Khan.
The 11 teenagers, pictured, learned how news, advertisements, sports reports and features were gathered and how the newspaper was produced.
The then news editor Mark Crossley said at the time: “It’s the second time this year that we’ve welcomed visitors from Priory School and we’re always pleased to see them.”
