Top novelist makes special visit to Haverhill
Best-selling crime writer M.C.Beaton gave a 30 minute talk followed by a half-hour question and answer session when she visited Haverhill library last week.
The author also signed copies of her novels during the appearance on Wednesday (28), which took place after the library won a national competition to create a display themed on her work.
A spokesman for the library said: “There were over 30 people in the audience, who all commented on how engaging and lovely the afternoon was.”
M.C.Beaton is the author of both the Agatha Raisin and Hamish Macbeth series of crime novels, plus numerous Regency romances.
She chose the winning display for the competition, arranged by her publishers, Little Brown Book Group and the Reading Agency, herself.
