Lowestoft businesses warned after burglaries at premises in Commerical Road and Belvedere Road




Business owners in Lowestoft have been urged to be vigilant after a spate of burglaries in the area.

Three business premises in the town's Commercial Road were broken into yesterday, the first having been reported at 7.15am. This incident saw nothing taken.

A second building was broken into at 10.30am, with thieves making away with £3,000 worth of copper tubing and brass.

The third incident was reported at around 2.30pm, after number plates were stolen from a Citreon and a Ford Transit van.

Another business in Belvedere Road was targeted on Tuesday, with thieves having gained entry by cutting the lock off a main gate.

Suspects were seen loading items, including a generator, into a Ford Transit van.

A forklift was also taken but was later found in Carlton Colville.

Witnesses are asked to call Lowestoft Police on 101 quoting CADs 34, 76, or 178 for Wednesday's incidents, or reference 37/8013/21 for Tuesday's.
