Dog walker injured in Lowestoft after being pushed to ground
A man in his late 60s was injured after being pushed to the ground while walking his dogs.
The assault was on Wednesday, August 14 between 8.30pm and 8.40pm on the service road between Notley Road and Kimberley Road in Lowestoft.
The victim was walking his two small dogs when an off-lead black Labrador-type dog, possibly called Lulu, approached and caused distress to his dogs.
The black dog was being walked by a woman, described as white, in her 50s with blonde hair, who was riding a bike.
The man asked the woman to call her dog back, but another man, in his 20s with dark hair and dressed in black clothing, appeared and pushed the dog walker to the ground while shouting obscenities at him.
This caused injury to the man’s elbow and damage to his phone.
Suffolk Police is keen to speak to any witnesses as it is believed other people saw the incident as one person did come to the man’s aid to check if he was alright.
Officers are keen to identify the male or female with the other dog and if you have any information on the incident, you can get in touch quoting crime reference 37/46178/24.
