Lowestoft firefighters tackle blaze at flat in Spexhall Way

Firefighters battled a flat blaze in Lowestoft yesterday and rescued one person.
One crew from Great Yarmouth, another crew from Lowestoft North and two from Lowestoft South were called to reports of a building fire in Spexhall Way at 6.33pm.
Firefighters discovered a fire in a first floor flat and rescued one person who is now in the care of the ambulance service.
Crews used breathing equipment, two hose reel jets and two covering jets to deal with the fire.
The blaze was extinguished at 8:38pm.
A fire investigation will be carried out today.
