Firefighters tackling Corton Road, Lowestoft, blaze in patch of gorse

Firefighters are tackling a blaze involving a patch of gorse on the Suffolk coast.

Crews were called to the incident in Corton Road, Lowestoft, at 3.32pm.

Two engines are at the scene, where the fire is in a 40 by 40 metre area of gorse.

A spokesperson for the fire service said crews were dampening an area of undergrowth to curtail the blaze.

The cause of the incident is not known.
